I fixed my washing machine so why not have a look at the dishwasher?

This Frigidaire / Electrolux Dish Washer [Model # GLDB756AS1] came with our house.

Here's a video & Pic (at bottom):

It has the following problems (in order of severity)
  1. The door seems to go too low, and you can see a split in the door along both sides. I opened it up a while ago, tightened some screws but it has loosened up again. My wife has a local maintenance person look at it and they said we should replace. Your opinion is very valued before we go to the expense.
  2. The top rail sometimes becomes disconnected. At one point, I had to unscrew some of the rollers attached to the side to get the rail back in. At other times, I can jimmy the rail back in.
  3. In a pretty short period, all the wheels along the bottom started to fall off, either breaking or loosening. Right now I have it balanced on four wheels which are precariously glued on - will not last.
  4. Basket needs replacing. (Easy to fix)
Apart from this the machine does a good job on the dishes. So before we replace, Samurai opinions are greatly appreciated.

I ve never be enamored with frigidaire products. The dishwasher especially. The circulation motor is an impeller on a round shaft not even a flat place Thats not repairable other than replacing the motor. IVE REPLACED THE IMPELLER WITH NO EFFECT. Their washer are no better, bearing going out more times than i can imagine. The only things they make good nowdays is refrigerators and ovens:flush: I'd go buy me a new one Whirlpool or ge.

You've got to be kidding about Frigidaire refrigeration products????  I see so many sealed system problems on Frigidaire refrigerators that are only 5-8 years old.

The only thing Frigidaire I would recommend to anyone is their cooking products and that is only because most ranges, all the main functional parts are made by the same few manufactures so they are all basically the same except for cosmetic looks.
