Great returning customer of mine frustrated and I need possible plumbing help.  Here it goes..

Customers community apparently had a water line break and city fixed over last weekend. After they fixed it he said he had some pretty nasty water for a few mins coming from kitchen faucet. He states that his machine would no longer get cold water. I go out and water from wall works fine but once hooked to inlet(mixing valve) no go just the solenoid humming.  I replace inlet(mixing valve) and wallah filled 3 or 4 times and checked rinse and all good so I thought!!!!  Customer washed clothes for 2 days str8 and then called me last night stating problem is back EXCEPT: When he turns to wash cycle on cold water now it starts for 5 secs then cuts off and wont fill at all on rinse cycle. I confirmed by listening on speaker phone. I am stumppppppped but am wondering if possible pressure switch issue?

Expertise needed and as always thanks for help.

yes it works in hot wash cycle. He actually said last night it filled with warm water  and when it got to rinse it stopped and solenoid just hummed again with no cold rinse. But he assure me the warm fill was both hot/cold cause he stuck his hand under fountain. When he now tries for cold wash it runs for 5 secs and quits.

There's not much it could be...

regular Timer, Temperature Switch, but if the Water Valve is humming, check the voltage at the Water Valve ...

Input Screen may be clogged again ...

Went back to my clients machine last night and worked like a charm 5 times in a row. Only odd thing was on start of first attempt as I turned it on to fill up a slight clunk noise came from I have no IDEA!!  LOl. And then filled and functioned fine.  Lets see how long this lasts. Good thing he lives 2 miles down the street.
