Unit is flashing code C.E.'0'.... display will stay lit for apx. 2 mins. then no display... with no display keypad will not operate..... open and close door, display will light for apx. 2 mins.(sometimes) With display lit, temp. is adjustable. Compressor is operating and keeping items frozen. With temp. set at -3-, it will flash C.E. "3", a few times then will flash C.E. "0" I have the frigid manual but does not tell me what the code is.......I did not have the manual with me when I checked the freezer, downloaded it this morning..... Last time I worked on the some model, there was a short in the wire, as it enters the door at the hinge,(new wire harness installed) This has almost the same problems ( but not all). Is this a known problem, a short or bad wire harness at the lower hinge? I had the electronic board on hand P/N 216979700 but could not get to the rear of the unit with unloading the food , to lighten the load... The complaint is " the beeping is annoying, has been going on for 6 months"

"CE" is just a communication error between the user interface and electronic module. CE "0" = 0 temperature CE "3" = 3 temperature you may have to check the wirring between the display control and the Electronic Module by the Compressor... ftp://ftp.electrolux-na.com/ProdInfo_PDF/StCloud/297079600.pdf here is a (all of) Fridgidaire Training Manual I found on their site... Electronic Controlled Freezer starts on PDF page 60 (not much extra info) 2006 Technical Training Manual 50 MB some other Frigidaire Training Manuals: 2003 Technical Training Manual 25 MB 2004 Technical Training Manual 10 MB Last edited on Fri Nov 14th, 2008 05:20 am by RegUS_PatOff ____________________ The new repair forums==> http://appliantology.org RegUS_PatOff http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oPAY2LsKVEw my video production: “Easter Seals Walk With Me” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-EBiLyYXMiA |
