I found out why I didn't find continuity, it seems that the wire, D1, had gotten wedged in between the top and bottom of the cabinet and got severed. I fixed the wire and tested and got continuity. This happened during the course of my troubleshooting and of course I feel really bone headed to have allowed that to happen. I hope nothing else burned out. What should be my next steps now? I did try to see if the motor started after I fixed the wire but no such luck.

HOLY SMOKE!!!!! That motor kicked on while I was testing and scared the heck out of me!!!! So it seems like it was that door lead wire that went bad from the get go. When I originally tested the door switch I checked to see if the switch itself was good always thinking that the wires itself looked immaculate. In reality the underside of the door lead wires had burnt through. I found it because I had to follow the wire by hand from the back to the front of the machine. I will put back the dryer tomorrow due to the late hour. Thank you very much for all your help.
