I have a Maytag MTB2156BE, its about 10 years old. Everything works great... The bottom door just keeps popping open every now and then. The self level does not seem to work fully...seems like the front is tilted a bit down... Ideas? Thanks Edwin

Also, check the door stop that is on each hinge that is to keep the door from swinging all the way open and getting dented against the cabinet. These stop if they slam to hard into the hinge area they can bend, then when you close the door the stopper will bind against the front side of the hinge making the door pop open anytime the other door is closed.

The unit is designed to have the door close by itself from approximately 12" away. You will need to tilt the unit back to achieve this. Some units have the self adjusters mentioned in the manual, some did not and this tilt is achieved by installing the front legs supplied with the unit and raising it up.
