I looked into this and confirmed that we do indeed appear to have a bug in the forum software. However, not to worry-- since we'll never reach 1970 again, it means that your subscription will never expire! So, despite the apparent calendar bug, the end result remains the same: your subscription to the forum for a mere five beans will never expire. All good.

So, although it definitely is a bug, it appears to be benign because the net effect for the account is the same: permanent membership for a one-time love-offering of five federal reserve notes.
