Thanks! But man that clamp was a big pain in the butt! I have an older version (3 years old I guess) of this washing machine. The original units had a nipple on the gasket with a tube that fed small amount of water to clean the gasket. The new versions do not, so that tube had to be re-routed to a spare outlet on the detergent dispenser. This required taking the 4 screws off for the control panel, and then sliding the lid back. That made it easier to put the clamp on anyways (although it must have taken an hour to keep the gasket in place properly and get that spring clamp on.) So far, 3 loads of laundry, no leaks, and things are back to normal! Thanks!

Don't feel too bad, even us experienced appliance techs have problems getting that spring back on without the gasket falling off. It took me at least 5 tries last one I did.
