Simple my friend.  The back panel of the freezer section has a few quarter inch screws holding it in place.  Once you get that panel off, you'll see exactly what I'm talking about.  It's much easier to thaw if you unplug the unit.  Once you get all of the ice shelf's removed then attack the center of the tray and you'll find your drain hole.  Once you get that fairly cleared out, then hit it with water heated from the microwave until you hear the tell-tale gurgle indicating that you've cleared it all out.
