Hey guys, we bought a Whirlpool dishwasher (DU1145XTPBA) from Lowes and had it installed a few days before Thanksgiving, but we haven't used it yet because we believe it was not installed properly. Does a dishwasher have to be plumb? I put a 24in. level against the door and I have to pull the level 1/4" away from the bottom half of the door to get a plumb reading on the level. Will I damage the washer if I use it like this? Will it effect the cleaning ability? I called Whirlpool, but they were not much help...the first rep asked me "what do you mean plumb?" and the second rep told me "it's okay...it's just cosmetics...line it up with your cabinet", but she didn't sound very convincing or confident. Is their anything else I should check for before we run the machine? We would really appreciate your help. Thanks.
