 Electric Stove: Ge Profile; model: JS968SOF4SS (this is on stove label).
Problem: Instructions needed to replace cracked Maintop Glass.
Part Cost $488 
When I called GE they told me to use model number JS968SFSS for ordering:

I was given this stove by someone remodeling kitchen. I don't want to install stove or pay $488 for part until I know how to replace. I am handy but don't want to damage anything by winging it without instructions.
I noticed there are 5 screws under lip where controls are in front but there are also many along the sides. Some specific instructions would help.

Can anyone advise? Thanks for taking the time to read this.
