Thanks for your reply Pegi. Funny thing is, before I took the transorb out I checked the voltage going to the float switch harness several times with cycle on and cycle off. At that point I was getting voltage to that point only when the cycle was on. So it appears I did something (i.e. damaged the board) only after I removed the transorb. What exactly does this part do, and is it really that necessary to operation?
