Thanks... couldn't agree more. At the time I bought it, I had wads of cash, and thought (foolishly) that top $ meant best quality. I'll agree that the mechanical portions of this machine did seem quite well built.... but from what I can tell, the design really isn't that much different from ones being built for years. So easy to get the motor out, etc, so I'll gladly conceed that point.

I'll look into the brand you mentioned. I'm trying to offload the elite dryer on ebay now, but I doubt it will sell. I'll probably give it to a charity or something.
