Then this problem is what we professionals call "improper mechanical actuation." That means the switch ain't getting switched like it should awwta. If you'll look closely at the intricate network of cheesy plastic levers that are supposed to actuate the switch when the door opens and closes, you'll probably find that one of those flimsy plastic parts is broken.
