Remove the front panel (1. release the clips holding down the top using a putty knife or the likes, 2. Remove the two screws at the top of the front panel) Look at the base of the machine and see if there is any oil on it. If the tub moves as freely as you state, that would be my first guess. If oil is prevalent, you need a new transmission. The tranny is covered on your particular model for five years (assuming you didn't buy it "as-is no warranty") Go ahead and fork over the 120 smackers. However if the oil is not there, post back with what you do find and we'll go from there.
