|wow! it has been awhile, but as i said, i rarely used the dw anyway, so it hasn't been a priority. as the holiday season approaches, it becomes much more important.
anyway, i needed to get some torx tools first to remove the motor face. i couldn't do it and neither could my spouse. is there some special tool or should we try using the electric drill motor (with torx bits) for assistance? he asked if it would be easier just to replace the motor because he couldn't budge the bolts/screws on the front of the housing - see picture. (the placement makes it very difficult to get leverage without laying the washer on its back.)
