I was amazed. I un-screwed the front panel and really only opened it on the top about 4". Put the new part in place and sqeezed rather hard until all the parts were in place. 90 seconds of effort and hours of concern. I would have hated myself if I had spent $100 for a visit by the expert. Thanks to everyone for the advise.
