When I called for service the first time, they offered a $300 1 yr. warranty.  I had heard that front loaders were expensive to fix, so I bought it.  The first service guy said the repair parts were $1,100 (the tub and baffle).  What do you think the labor will run on this repair.  I guess my warranty would cover up to the $500 limit on the warranty?

Should I repair or, scrap the washer?  Honestly, after the sound it made and the hole that is in the tub, I am leary to ever turn it on again.

What do you recommend?
