:D After our dryer quick working and the clothes began piling up there was much unhappiness in our dojo. A lack of funds meant that a new dryer was impossible. Luckily I found this site. I was able to completely dissassemble my "dishonorable" amana dryer and figure out how to replace the heating element. I am not the handiest in household repair, but with your help even I could figure it out. For a total cost of $28.00 ($40 cost of element, but I found over $12.00 in escaped change in the bottom of the dryer after 13 years) the amana is back on the road to enlightenment.
