Thanks a million for that manual! I found the piece, it's called the door lock and I removed it by removing the spring around the rubber seal and then reaching behind it and getting the screw removed door lock switch. It had broken and so I ordered a new one and will put that in and hopefully see. I'll let you know. Many many thanks for the prompt attention. Great site!
