Trying....thanks very much for the feedback. At least I know which screws I need to attack first. Do I need a special tool to remove the torx screws or can what's needed be found at Home Depot, Lowes. etc? The voltage testing is beyond me. The wax motor is only about $20; the spring $.56. I thought I'd just go ahead and replace and hope for the best. Does the wax motor merely plug/screw in? Is it easy to take out and put a new one in?
