Thanks TTH. Weird that our Maytag dishwasher would have the same symptom one day later.

Good call on cleaning out the mesh filter underneath the lower spray arm housing. That fixed the problem. Suprisingly, all the stuff stuck in the filter looked really fresh.

Any idea whether this is bound to be a recurring problem? The spray arms got clogged about a week ago - I suspect it was from a jam jar with the lable still attached. Could that have caused the filter to not clear itself?
