So what you're saying is the possibility of even with a bad inner coupler, I may not hear the squeaky noise like I have now if the outer agitator is removed because less force of water/clothes plus the outer agitator that are exerting on the inner agitator?  If that's true (I would have to wait until I get home tonight and see), how can I tell whether the coupler is bad?  Any other possibilities if it's not the coupler that's making the squeaky noise?
