I was trying to prevent ripping out the sheetrock unless I had to, but your advice makes it sound like I'll have no choice. The vent for the dryer actually travels down, then straight for about 25 feet to the outside of the house, so I doubt that this is the root of the water. And I have no intention of doing anything with that circuit breaker until I know this is fixed. I realize how lucky I was the last time, trust me.
