Yes, if any part of that assembly breaks, you have to replace the whole thing.

I just did my first one about 3 weeks ago. Did it without taking the front off, (I'm a smaller guy and have small arms, if you have big arms, good luck).

Don't know what the job aid says about this,

Pegi or Samurai, do you remove the front panel when you do a door switch/latch job or do you just work your arms up in there from the bottom access panel?
