I will order another one.
Additionally, I will test the pressure switch. It appears to advance the cycle when it detects heavy soil.

According to the service manuals above, the flying saucer unit is a "Separator" and it is not serviceable. I will order another one. Additionally, I will test the pressure switch. It appears to advance the cycle when it detects heavy soil.
