 Ok, new safety fuse was installed. The dryer is in an open room with plenty of return air. The vent system is brand new. There are no obstructions and I can see clearly thru it.

I tested the temperature coming out of the back with: the dryer empty, 20 minute timed dry, high heat. I turned it off when the dryer hit 175 degrees and continued to climb (about 4 minutes into it). The earlier post said it should be between 135-160.
