|Well I finally had some time to try running it in a spin cycle. I first took it apart and dried everything. I then started back putting the boot stem on the tub, then the mounting stem, hand tight then about an 1/8 turn more. Put the allen screw in. Put the basket in, nut and tighten it. Put the agitator on, top seal and ran it through a spin cycle, about 4 minutes. THen I started a cycle, and before it stopped adding water, it started leaking. So I drained the tub. I then took the agitator off to see at what water level it was leaking. It was as before, before it gets to the transmission seal level. So it sounds like it is still leaking at the boot seal and mounting stem. Any ideas? Should I take the boot seal and mounting stem out and clean with anything? I have been real careful not to touch the surfaces with my fingers. Help....
