 I have a Frigidaire washer model 417.39012890. Today we washed a small load and it ended up very much out of balance and was trying to walk all over the place during spin.

The washer is 12+ years old. It seams to me like I remember a long time ago it would slow down when it hit this condition.

Is there any function in the washer to detect out of balance and stop it? If there is - mine is broken. Can it be fixed?
