most likely the problem was with the board to begin with. those condensor motors are pretty reliable. yes pink goes to yellow. once you get it all hooked back up i bet the motor still wont run. for a quick test and temporary fix until you can get a replacement board, install a jumper wire between the pink and red wires. this will force the condensor fan motor to run 24/7 which will get you going again. you dont want to leave the jumper in as a permanent fix because the fan motor will have a short life.
