I know out here in California, when the delivery guys take it, they are required to give you a receipt of disassembly for recycling. The basically give it to a company to do that. you could give it away on craigs list for someone who really needs a washer and let them know it needs a new tranny and its covered under a ten year warranty. make sure they know labor charges apply. but give them the A&E phone number. its 129.00 flat in most area's of the country.
