Is the little center part of the defrost timer (the one that I twist to MANUALLY turn on the defrost cycle) supposed to be slowly turning around by itself (like the hour hand on a clock)? I have over the past 3 days turned on the defrost cycle once a day and the ice build up is gone. I replaced this timer about 2 years ago. Maybe I got a bad one or maybe they are VERY prone to failure. How can I tell if it's "timing/turning"? I put two reference dots on it , one on the turning part & one on the stationary so I can take a peek every hour. Both are at 12 o'clock high right now. Will check in an hour. How much should it move, if at all? Thanks.
