Okay, I received the tools and finally have the front cover off and you were right John63, there is a broken wire right at the plug (mine has two blue wires - different shades, but two blue wires). Since it is late and I can't hit a hardware store I am going to ask you very helpful gentlemen....you mention getting a replacement plug from a wire harness replacement kit. My two questions are; should I cut off the other wire and bring the plug with me as there may be more than one wire harness replacement kit? And can I find it at any hardware store? Home Depot, Menard's, etc.? You have been so very helpful and I am excited that I am actually doing this repair so thank you again for answering all my questions, no matter how silly they may seem. I really appreciate the help! On a side note, how annoying that the wire broke off in the plug! I feel like nothing I did would have caused this to happen, but off my soapbox now
