I had taken the motor out while attached to the washer and ran it. It seemed to run without noise or vibration. The motor itself is not rusty, just the underside of the housing and plates. The wiring inside seems to be clean. The biggest problem seems to be (what I assume is) the speed sensor circuit board on the opposite end of the motor shaft. If has a lot of corrosion.
