 OK, so finished tearing it apart - boy, howdy, that was a chore.  Doesn't look like the drum arms are broken.  There's some grease on the back of the outer drum, and the play appears to be in the bearing.  I took pictures to show you, but I can't figure out how to attach them.

Your thoughts?
