Ok got home, took the belt off and filled it to a small load and the motor worked. Put the belt back on and tried it and yes it is agitating(my wife set it to wash and evidently I had been setting it wrong to try to get it agitate-I'm an idiot I know)So it IS agitating but sounds like it is grinding bad.
