While I'm not certain that your model is similar to mine, I did have a similar problem with my GE r/f. There is a solenoid that helps push the flapper closed and mine quit working. Anyway, if your unit has the touch panel display above the opening in the freezer door, you might try prying the touch panel off from the bottom and you'll see four screws, one at each corner. If you remover those screws, you can access the solonoid and either check its wiring or install a replacement. Again, when I Googled your model I got a washing machine so I'm not at all certain what you have is what I had. Good luck.
