 This may be that head scratcher problem where it's defrosting too long due to an out-of-spec evaporator thermistor. Remove the back inside wall in the freezer and get some eyeballs on the thermistor mounted to the evaporator. Compare with the chart below. If you have the old style, time to upgrade.
