What other brands use this same setup of drive system?

The previous few washing machines I had taken apart did not have a system like this.

One had a motor where you could see the bottom of it up front in the middle. The shaft pointed toward the back of the machine. It was directly bolted to the transmission that sat under the drum.

The other had the motor offset with the shaft pointing up into the transmission. The transmission had two solenoids on a hinged piece. When it'd agitate, the solenoids would swing back and forth. When it went into spin, the second solenoid would lock the hinged piece still.

I forget the brands of machines they were...

I like this Maytag setup. It's easy to diagnose.
