I agree these motors were on a fine line to be recalled for bearing issues and c lips popping off when impeller jammed. If the original impeller was available its not a big deal. The older impeller had a plastic shank area that rested against a c clip on motor shaft the new impeller and motor shaft have a flat metal area so its a bit stronger. you can compar your older impeller to a new one by looking at the seal area of impeller.
