Well, I have been shopping on line-it seems the lowest price Bosch I can find is in the upper $500 range. When installation and tax is added, I'll be at $700, or $800. I see some good things about LG. Generally I am not a big fan of buying imported stuff, but the KitchenAid experience changed my mind. I'll try German, or Korean in a dishwasher now. I guess Whirlpool is like any other American company in that reputation means nothing-they will just get a tax payer bailout when they go bankrupt from shipping mediocre crap just like GM. We discovered that SHAKLEE auto dish 'jet clean' detergent cleaned the best in our mediocre KitchenAid. It is less expensive than Cascade because you only use 1 oz per load, and the dishes and glasses came out flim free. The problem with SHAKLEE stuff is you have to buy from someone in the 'multi level marketing' scheme. Thanks for the replys. I'll let you know what I buy. Bill
