Ok well I bought the pump seal kit and took the whole pump/motor assembly out, rebuilt it using the pump centering tool and all new seals, new wash impeller, new drain impeller, new chopper, spring all the bells and whistles. I followed all the instructions carefully. I reinstalled everything, ran the dishwasher and it leaked like crazy. Frustrated, I pulled it out again and discovered that I, like a dummy, installed the shaft motor seal upside down. DUH!!! I tought at first i needed a motor because the shaft where the motor seal is kind of rusted. It wasnt smooth, but rather rough because of the corrosion. I figured the seal couldnt "seal" because it would not be a tight fight around the shaft. Then I looked at the instructions and caught my mistake. I popped the seal out (it actually came right out) and put in the right way with the centering tool. As it seated itself, I knew all was right. Put it all back together, installed it, and the dishwasher seems as good as new. No leaks so far!!!! Thanks you O' great and wise masters of appliancetology!!!
