|By the way, another way to keep the springs elongated is to put either nickels or quarters on both sides of each layer of the springs. This, of course, has to be done after the tub is rocked away from the spring to lengthen it. You have to put the coins on both sides of the springs to keep it straight when the pressure is released. I tried the electrical box but I had a hard time taking up enough slack without the box bending. The coins worked like a charm and it took no time to get the springs back in place after the pads were changed.
