Changed the pads and they seemed to have a little wear but not much. I didn't know how much wear it would take to cause the shimmy, so I replaced the pads anyway. The spin cycle seemed to spin better but not perfectly. It is better but this leads to another question. I have shards of black rubber/plastic and metal mixed on the base of the washer floor. You can tell this is coming from the spin cycle because it is spread across the entire base, from front to back. This didn't come from the damper pads because there was no residue in this area when the pads were replaced. I believe it is coming from the base of the tub. I can see a black rubber piece in this suspected area. Could I have an additional problem coming from this area?
