Thanks for the quick reply, as you can tell I have never gotten into a Maytag before Im appliance for base housing on Eielson AFB, have over 8000 appliances, but just got in Maytag for the first time in 2005. No tech data no nothing so was shooting blind on this one.

got it back together and tub is solid cant move, turn on and the tub doesn't move, however can manually turn it in either direction, little stiff, but turns freely. If I read your reply correctly this means transmission correct?

appreciate your help on this.
