It's also possible your water fill valve is mechanically hanging up in the open position allowing too much water in during the rinse cycle. Or, You have a coin lodged in the drain hose. Sometimes they get stuck in there and move around acting like a valve. It will drive you crazy. One time it works, next time it don't.
