Have you poured water directly down defrost drain from top with everything together, (just evaporator cover off), and checked to make sure water is making it's way all the way down to the drain pan on top of the compressor.  That's about the only other thing I can think of, a plug in the drain tube somewhere backing up an overflowing the cup under the defrost drain.

So, are you saying when you put the plastic food container directly under the air diffuser outlet it never had any water in it, but there is again water accumulating under the crisper draws?
