OK, good news/bad news.  Today is the third time I've taken dear dishwasher apart to clean the screen.  Good news -- after doing this it fires right up sprays water all over the place and gets dishes nice and hot and clean.  Woohoo.

Bad news -- like I said, this is the third time.  Problem must exist with the blade that sits in front of the screen.  After reading someone else's post I'm a bit nervous about something called an "impeller"?  If the impeller is stripped then I need a new motor?

Just so I understand, there's the blade, then the screen and then the impleller is the thing that turns the blade on the other side of the screen?

Is there a change the blade has just dulled over the years and isn't chopping up stuff?

Also, what is the macerator?

Thanks,  this is getting old but there are too many other things that need to be done to buy another dishwasher right now.
