After getting the runaround for a couple of hours, I finally found somebody who could confirm that my Hotopint fridge is covered by this, Since I am out in the sticks, they wanted me to pay for an independent authorized repairman to diagnose the problem. I convinced them to overnight the part to me, and as others have said, the repair is very easy, and the part came with instructions.
Mine lasted 2 years. I hope the new board lasts much longer than that! As of now, everything works great. I am in the process of getting my temperature regulated, I froze my eggs and milk last night.
