So we decided that the cost of repair was too much and since the parts we need constitute the major part of the machine (inner and outer tub assembly), we'll just try to get rid of the stuff that surrounds it, including but not limited to:

motor
pump
various switches, including the big one
hoses
clasps

etc, etc etc.

I'll gladly answer questions about part numbers or whatever else someone cares to ask...
