The motor stops? See if you have voltage to the motor when it cuts off, if so probably bad motor, if not could be the timer..

how do i check voltage on the motor?? it will dry a load if it is small enough to dry in the 15 min that it will stay on before it stops running then if i try to start it again right after it stops it will just buzz at me until the buzzing stops and it does nothing if i leave it alone for many hours after a load i can do another 15 min load Last edited on Fri Aug 18th, 2006 02:25 pm by lilangle |

Would have to use a volt meter and see if there is voltage at the motor 4-5 when it stops, if so bad motor, if not, no power to the motor..sounds like the motor is cutting off on its overload when it gets hot and runs again when it cools down..

ok thank you will see if dh can figure out how to test it since i have no idea lol when it does stop it is not very hot has been acting up for 2months now first it would not finish drying a load then would not start really well unless i hold down the start button and is a hit or miss if it will start up and when it stops buzzing at me and starts will only run for maybe 15min then i have to wait nearly a day to try again so i took it apart and saw something was clearly blown and with the help of this forum found out that was the resistor so i bought one and changed it out hoping it would correct it ugh really do not want to go buy a new one if we do not have to but if we end up having to put in $100+ in parts might be better off buying a new cheapy one until i can get another big one like i have now thank you for all your help!!!
